This morning, at the Villa Rosa Hospital in Pergine, a press conference was held to present the European project CAPTAIN, which involves APSS, University of Trento and Social IT, together with many other European partners.
The project was presented by the three Italian scientific directors: Dr. Giovanni Guandalini, Medical Director of APSS, head of ABILITA at the Villa Rosa Hospital; Dr. Giandomenico Nollo, BIOtech Researcher at University of Trento and responsible person of the HTA of the Province of Trento (Health Technology Assessment); Dr. Maurizio Gianordoli, IT engineer and CEO of Social IT.
Purpose of the press conference
The purpose of the press conference was to promote citizen participation in the process of co-creation of the CAPTAIN technologies. The project addresses people over 60-years-old and requires the involvement of a motivated network of volunteers who will be asked to attend periodic meetings at Villa Rosa or to fill in questionnaires at their home for a few months. Overall, the user involvement is planned for a period of about a year and a half.
